Sri Lanka plans to plant 2.5 million coconut trees by 2025

The Sri Lanka Coconut Cultivation Board says that Kapruka Fund Management Board Societies will be reorganized to expand coconut cultivation due to the shortage of coconuts in Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, its chairman Dr. Sunimal Jayakodi stated that the first program of the process will be started on the 17th in Gampaha district.

It is further stated that the Coconut Cultivation Board has planned to plant 25 lakh coconut trees in 2025.
