Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana’s new party for Britain

Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana are preparing to form a new left-wing party in the UK. Sultana left the Labour Party after strongly opposing the government’s policies on Gaza and benefit cuts.

MP Ian Lavery said, “The country needs a left-wing alternative to the two-party system.” Home Secretary Yvette Cooper stated that the government is delivering “real change” through shorter NHS waiting times, expanded police forces, and free school meals.

Corbyn left the Labour Party in 2020. In 2024, he won as an independent and formed an alliance with four other MPs who share his views on Gaza.

Despite Labour’s big majority, Keir Starmer has struggled to control his MPs. Discussions on the new party continue, with those involved determined to offer voters a fresh choice
