The open prison, managed by the famous chef himself, is now facing a lack of cold chocolates.

Inmates used to buy popular Ritter Sport chocolates and cold drinks for 1.50 euros. But reports say the stock sold out quickly.

In August 2023, Schuhbeck was jailed for tax evasion. At first, he was in Landsberg/Lech prison, but he was moved to Rothenfeld at the start of 2024.

Because of the chocolate shortage, the small joys and comforts the prisoners once had are now gone.
