U.S. FBI officials conducted a surprise raid on John Bolton’s Maryland home and office. Bolton served as Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor from 2018 to 2019. This event sparked not only U.S. attention but also global discussions.
The conflict between Trump and Bolton has been long-standing. In 2020, Bolton released his memoir, challenging Trump’s administration. He claimed, “Trump ignored national security and focused only on his re-election.” Bolton also called Trump unfit for politics.
Trump responded strongly. He described Bolton as “deranged,” “stupid,” and “full of lies.” Trump also said that Bolton “only wanted to create conflicts.”
After the raid, Bolton was not taken into custody. Trump told reporters, “I only found out by watching the news. He acted unfairly toward the country. Let’s see what this reveals.”
