He confidently says—GPT-5 can work like a Ph.D.-level expert in any subject. Writing, coding, mathematics, science—any task can be done in seconds.
It’s been a while since GPT-4 was released in March 2023. After that, this latest version was brought to the world. At present, ChatGPT is used by more than 700 million people weekly. Fortune 500 companies use ChatGPT extensively. It is also OpenAI that provides ChatGPT for free to U.S. government agencies.
Altman says, “Now anyone can quickly do things that no one in history could ever do.” This release has further heated up the global AI race. Now in environmental research, business decisions, education, and new inventions—GPT-5 is showing its power everywhere. The world’s eyes are now on OpenAI.
